I echo the frustration of the reviewer who posted on 2/13/12 regarding changing the batteries in the battery-powered toothbrush. I have been trying to get the cap to the battery compartment back on the toothbrush for over 30 minutes now with no success. I called "Customer Care" and they were clueless as to how to solve the problem. Obviously, this is a common problem and a flaw in the product!

Frustrated by a GOOD product!

I have used an OralB rechargeable toothbrush for several years and love it! I wanted a battery-operated one like it for use when traveling, and found it in this model. I have LOVED using it - exactly what I wanted, until the batteries went dead. It is not possible to get the cover back on the bottom, with OR WITHOUT new batteries in place! I had hoped to find some instructions on the website, but nothing. A product that lasts only as long as the original batteries is not a good buy. Most important, I've been looking for something like this for ages and couldn't find it. To find it, like it, and be unable to continue using it is extremely frustrating!

I bought this product today at my local drugstore, although I have owned and been happy with other electric toothbrushes of the same brand. I chose it based on the dozens of 4+star reviews on amazon. Somehow the poor experiences had by some folks here are not normal. BTW, a user hint I saw on amazon makes much sense: apply a thin film of silicone (not petroleum-based!) plumber's grease to the rubber sealing ring inside the battery-compartment, to be doubly sure all moisture is locked out.

Broken in 6 days

I live outside of the United States but was home for a week and decided I needed a new toothbrush. I bought the Oral-B Pro-Health battery operated brush for use in my country of residence. Less than a week (6 days) after purchasing the brush, it no longer works. I have changed the batteries and tried to fix it, but it just gives off a almost non-existent vibrate (not moving the head of the brush at all). Since I do not live in the States, I have no recourse to return the item and finding a new, quality brush could prove difficult where I live. I would not recommend this item.

Worst product it broke in less than a month

I bought this as I liked the feature that it lets you know that you have been brushing your teeth for 2 minutes, but in less than a month it stopped working completely (it doesn't even vibrate or anything). I changed the batteries thinking that would do but no it still doesn't work.

First battery powered toothbrush purchase

I took my vitality rechargeable tooth brush with me on a trip to Britain. For some reason I was unable to recharge my brush even though I had an adaptor and the correct plug. So I purchased a battery powered toothbrush in London, type 4739, for £12.99. I found this to be an excellent replacement as my heads from the vitality also worked on type 4739. However, when I try to find this toothbrush in the USA it is not shown on the web. Can you help? Thanks for listening.
